When it arrived, we were extremely excited, I won't lie, it's not easy to follow along with instructions, they are very all over the place and a bit complex, so I tried watching a video, still didn't answer a few of the questions I had. We tried putting a stack of hundreds in there and it tore a few right down the middle, so I checked the speed and slowed it down in hopes that it would fix the issue, but it did it again until finally it stopped. Unfortunately, this machine only counts stacks of 1- solid denomination, so $100s, $5s, etc - you can't mix and match, so make sure you separate all denominations and have them in designated stacks before counting. I also realized that when in manual setting the counter gives you the total sum, but when in automatic setting, it doesn't, kinda strange. I gave it 3 stars for its complexity and for tearing my $100's in half and for not having the ability to do other things as well. For paying $300 plus, better to purchase something a bit more simplified.
